Choose a workflow for your task

You can generate new vector graphics or bitmaps from a text prompt, optionally using reference content, or transform an existing graphic. Choose the workflow that best fits your task.

Workflow 1: Create a vector graphic (Create vector graphic tab)

Use this workflow to turn ideas into editable, scalable vector graphics. For more information on writing effective prompts, see Describe what you want to create. You can optionally add reference content — such as a logo, illustration, product design, or photo — to guide the composition and visual direction. The AI uses your prompt as the foundation while drawing inspiration from the reference to create vector output that you can refine, resize, and customize.

Workflow 2: Create a bitmap (Create image tab)

Use this workflow to generate a brand-new bitmap from your idea. For more information about composing effective prompts, see Describe what you want to create. You can optionally include reference content — such as a product design, logo, artwork, or photo — to guide the composition. The AI interprets your prompt while drawing inspiration from the reference, and you can fine-tune the reference weight to control how strongly the composition influences the result. This workflow is ideal for exploring new concepts, prototyping visuals, or bringing ideas to life.

Workflow 3: Remix a graphic (Remix image tab)

Use this workflow to modify an existing vector graphic or bitmap while keeping its key elements intact. For example, you could turn a summer landscape into a winter one, update a brochure, social media banner, or promotional poster for a seasonal campaign while preserving the brand’s logo and identity. This workflow is perfect for iterating on designs, experimenting with styles, or creating new versions while building upon existing visuals.

Regardless of the workflow, selecting the right model helps you achieve accurate results faster. For information about models, see Select a model to power your results. You can also explore artistic styles and, when generating bitmaps, choose from a variety of color palettes to create the look you want. To create a vector graphic

Add reference content	Do one of the following: • Select an object in the document, and click the Add from document button in the Source image area. • In the Source image area, click the Import image button , navigate to the folder that contains the file, click the filename, and click Open. Tips: • You can also add a selected object as a reference by right-clicking the object, and clicking AI Generate Create Vector Graphic Guided by Selection. • To remove reference content, click Clear reference content .
Specify an aspect ratio	Select an option from the Aspect ratio list box. Note: • Adding a reference disables the Aspect ratio option, and the output uses the dimensions of the reference.
Choose a style	In the Style area, choose an artistic style. Tip: • To clear a style, click Clear styles .

Each time you click Generate, a new vector graphic is inserted into your drawing and displayed in the Results window. The Results window shows only the most recently generated graphic, so if you want to preserve a graphic, keep it in your drawing.

You can use any element of your design as reference content, including vector objects, bitmaps, brushstrokes, text objects, or any combination of these.

To create a bitmap

 

When you create a bitmap from	Choose one of the following models
A text prompt only	• Stable Diffusion 3.5 Medium — for fast, stylistically varied images • Stable Diffusion 3.5 Large — for high-quality, detailed, stylized art • Flux Schnell — for rapid photo-like variations • Flux.2 Pro — for high prompt accuracy and quality results • Nano Banana — for fast, consistent results • Nano Banana Pro — for 2K image generation and sharp, readable text • Nano Banana 2 — for rapid image generation and editing
A text prompt using reference content	• Stable Diffusion 3.5 Medium — for fast, stylistically varied images • Stable Diffusion 3.5 Large — for high-quality, detailed, stylized art

 

You can also
Add reference content	Do one of the following: • Select an object in the document, and click the Add from document button in the Reference image area. • In the Reference image area, click the Import image button , navigate to the folder that contains the file, click the filename, and click Open. Tip: • You can also add a selected object as a reference by right-clicking the object, and clicking AI Generate Create Image Guided by Selection.
Control the degree to which the composition and layout of the reference content influence the result	Move the Reference composition weight slider to the right for a strong influence on the result; move it to the left for minimal influence.
Specify an aspect ratio	Select an option from the Aspect ratio list box. Note: • Adding reference content disables the Aspect ratio option, and the output uses the dimensions of the reference.
Choose a style	In the Style area, choose an artistic style.
Choose a color palette	In the Color palette area, choose a color palette.
Remove reference content	Click Clear reference content .

Each time you click Generate, a new set of images replaces the current results. To keep an image, insert it into your drawing by double-clicking it in the Results window.

You can use any element of your design as reference content, including vector objects, bitmap images, brushstrokes, text objects, or any combination of these.

To remix an image

 

To	Do the following
Add source content from the document	Select an object in the document, and click the Add from document button in the Source image area. Tip: • You can also add a selected object as a reference by right-clicking the object, and clicking AI Generate Remix Selection.
Import a file	In the Source image area, click the Import image button , navigate to the folder that contains the file, click the filename, and click Open.

 

You can also
Choose a style	In the Style area, choose an artistic style.
Choose a color palette	In the Color palette area, choose a color palette.
Remove a source image	Click Clear reference content .

Anything you select in the document — vector objects, bitmap images, brushstrokes, text objects, or a combination — can be used as your source image.
